Luke Wenke mailed the following letter to federal Judge Lawrence Vilardo in late April of 2026 while detained at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester, New York. In it, he:
- Falsely claims that I’m being paid by the federal prosecutor in his current cyberstalking case, AUSA Sean Eldridge, to listen to his jail phone calls
- Suggests that Eldridge, FBI Agent Andrew Clark, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and I should be codefendants in his civil lawsuit
- References nonexistent or misunderstood court hearings
- Invokes his deceased grandmother, Judge Carolyn Giardini, as a credibility anchor
- Mentions Olive Garden as a fantasy setting where everyone involved could “talk like normal people”
- Frames himself as a central figure in a series of imagined “great lawsuits”
Wenke also mentions several key characters, including:
- Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Eldridge – prosecutor in Wenke’s current criminal case.
- Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo – The judge presiding over Wenke’s attempted lawsuit against me.
- Victoria Bahl – Luke Wenke’s current public defender.
- Andrew Clark – An FBI agent who was involved in the criminal investigations against Luke Wenke.
- Judge Carolyn Giardini – Luke Wenke’s late grandmother, who served as the Justice of the Peace of Carrollton, New York for a brief period during the ’90s.

“Hopefully the day is sooner than expected that we are accomplishing all kinds of great lawsuits in your courtroom in particular. How nice to even continue floating the idea that everyone in my elongated circumstances finds it in themselves to go to Buffalo Olive Garden and talk like normal people.
“Until then, you need updates from my end of things in my words.
“April 1st a court hearing took place without me present but I was very happy with the results. The 2nd Circut of US Appeals probably has April 1st court notes on file. April 28th was supposed to be the appeal of the detention hearing. It never happened and I do not know why. May 5th is still on the court schedule in Rochester. The goal for May 5th court hearing was agreed upon by Sean Eldridge himself as early as February 23rd, otherwise my mother would not have been told about it from Victoria Bahl. Do help keep up on these details.
“We are currently asking if Katie [last name], famed defendant in your courtroom in particular, is being paid by Sean Eldridge to listen to my phone calls here at Monroe County Jail while the lawsuit got in motion in your courtroom. Would Sean Eldridge like to be a codefendant with Katie, Andrew Clark, and perhaps even Monroe County Sheriff’s Office? Do ask Sean his thoughts. He remembers April 1st and January 30th.
“That deceased grandmother of mine, Carrollton NY’S Judge Carolyn Giardini, it’s a shame she didn’t work from home in her office through the internet for the needs of the Robert H. Jackson US Courthouse. -Luke Wenke”
